Proud to be a Harvey

We went to a family reunion last weekend on Casey's side of the family.  After a year of getting to know these people, the faces are beginning to be familiar, but I am still learning the names.  Casey not only tells me everyone's name; he tells me who they are related to, who was adopted (his grandparents were foster parents to many children throughout the years), who is a blood relative, etc, and then my head starts to spin.  Each time we get together, I learn more names and can greet more people by their names rather than a generic, "Hi! How are you?"  One thing is for sure, though.  These family get-togethers are always a blast and full of entertainment.  There is always a lot of laughter, lots of jokes, pranks, and smiles.  Everyone is always greeted with a warm smile and a hug.  This gathering was extra special, though, because I was finally able to meet Casey's aunt, Theresa.  She is as warm and friendly as the rest of his family, and gave us some Montana Wild Huckleberry Jam.  I had never had it before, and it is delicious!  If you ever get a chance to try some, please, please do!  It is absolutely incredible, and a very special treat!

I love family, more than anything, and I am so lucky to call Casey's family my family.  They are some of the nicest, warmest, and generous people I have ever met; full of hard workers, honesty, pride, pranks, and lots and lots of fun.  They really know how to laugh and have a good time!  I am proud to be a Harvey.  :)
