Getting Ready for a New Beginning
Casey and I are in the process of buying a house. We are extremely excited and ready for another new adventure. The house we are buying not only has plenty of room for us; it has a shop for Casey and plenty of room for Sam, Guinness, Remi, and Ty. It is a dream come true for both of us and we cannot wait to move!
With moving, however, comes lots and lots of work! We have been busy going through boxes in our basement and sorting out what we are keeping and what we are getting rid of. It has brought up lots of memories and sentiments. Even though I am excited to move, I can't help but remember some of my most significant moments that happened right there in that house in the short time that I lived there. I had come back from a trip with my mom when I was waiting for Casey in the kitchen after telling him how I had felt about him, not really knowing what to expect. It was on those porch steps that he asked me to marry him. It was in that barn where he sat and talked to me while I was tacking up Remi that our friendship began to grow, and the roof of the barn where we started to learn about the constellations with his handy little Android App. We had our first Christmas together in that house, and the first live Christmas tree I have had in years. Come to think of it, all of our firsts have been in that house. We have had a lot of laughter there and shared many memories together...I'm finding it a little difficult to say good-bye to that place. Not to mention, our landlords have been extremely nice and generous. We will miss them, too. As with anything though, there is a time for an ending and a new beginning. I am excited for a new adventure, and looking forward to new memories. Until then...you can count on the fact that I will be cleaning and organizing to make our move a little more seamless...Go ahead and laugh. I know that moving is never seamless...Ultimately, at the end of the day, it is important to keep a sense of humor and go with the flow.
