Lavender

I love Lavender.  I love it as a plant, oil, lotion, tea, and in a satchel for a drawer.  It is so soothing, whether it is dried or a live plant.  I like having dried lavender around the house…not only is it nice to look at (it’s beautiful in a bathroom or bedroom), it offers a wonderful aroma.
Lavender has been used for many years for a variety of reasons.  Many people like to use lavender lotion at night or sachets by their bed to help them sleep or ease tension.  It’s also frequently used in bath mixtures either in bath tea or in bath oils, soaps, and shampoos.
They also say that Lavender is used to help in digestion, antiseptics, is a good antioxidant, and works as an antidepressant.  I know I feel better looking at it and being able to smell it.  It is also believed to ease anxiety and stress symptoms including headaches and insomnia.
I like Lavender and Chamomile tea.  Chamomile has always been soothing to me as well, but the combination of Lavender and Chamomile together not only soothes; it delivers a wonderful aroma.   Of course, it also makes a wonderful addition to a garden.
I found the picture on the right on the internet.  It makes me want to grab a hot cup of tea, a quilt, and a book and sit and read.  It sounds like heaven.  Of course...it wouldn't be as hot as it is today...I think it is supposed to be 100 today?  With a heat index of 110.  I feel bad for the animals outside.  Looks like Remi will be getting a bath today...way too hot to ride...
